That tagline does not do this game justice, but it's an effective description of this project in so few words. Astrobound will let players embark on a cosmic adventure with a crew in their own space vessel , where they will experience a variety of randomized events and encounters as they travel. These may range from dangerous confrontations to whimsical tales and everything in between. This main gameplay design is inspired by the classic game "Oregon Trail", but with multiple twists and enhancements that will make every player's galactic trek a unique story and an engaging experience.
Not to mention, there are big plans for Twitch integration for this game, so be ready to shepherd your followers across the galaxy soon! There's even a working proof-of-concept already!

The Encounter System is developing!
Configurable time-stepping intervals between randomized encounters.
Weighted chances for encounters (to make sure the same ones don't happen too often).

The Ship is moving across the galaxy!
The distance and duration of your journey is being tracked.
Fuel and food are depleted as your ship travels. Don't end up stranded!
Ship management menu is almost complete! Ship stats, upgrades, and crew can all be managed.
Your ship can get damaged in encounters, and also repaired with spare parts or at a garage.
The galaxy is coming to life!
Planets and space stations can be reached, with cities, towns, and wilderness areas available to visit
Shops and garages are complete! Buy and sell supplies at a shop, or browse upgrades and repair your ship at the garage.

The interface is underway!
Main menu is in-progress, but already lets you choose a game mode and a ship to start your journey.
The gameplay interface for encounters, ship management, shops, garages, and planets are almost complete - but I tend to adjust things a lot as I implement features, so there will be more to share soon
The writing phase is starting!
With the bones in place, now I can start writing the encounters and main storyline! This phase will continue through most of development, most likely.
A Steam page is coming!
Once I am happy enough with the current state of some of the UI, I will make a Steam page to showcase it!
